Advanced Family Court Advocacy

Advanced Family Court Advocacy: Behind the Scenes on Case Consultation

Course Overview:

The focus of Family Court Advocacy (FCA) is walking alongside survivors, longer term, who are involved in Family Court (FC) cases whether considering  separation, the onset of separation, experiencing problems with FC cases, or returning to court on motions to make changes, or other factors that impact them regarding FC involvement.

This course is for Called to Peace Ministries Affiliated Advocates who want to deepen their knowledge and skills in FCA and are interested in shadowing Drs. Debra and Jess to learn the FCA process and work toward carrying FC cases independently.

If you complete this course and are interested in moving forward with the process to do FCA, you:

  • will be invited to join a shadow group on the Signal app (download and add Dr. Debra Wingfield, (719) 251-0618, to your contacts, and introduce yourself)
  • can work through the process outlined in our Protocol for Family-Court Related Shadowing Advocates

”Shadowing” involves observing/learning from Drs. Debra and Jess as they do FCA.
